Low Dose Naltrexone or Ultra Low Dose Natrexone

Naltrexone is an opiate antagonist and was approved by FDA in 1984. for the treatment of addiction to drugs and alcohol. Low dose naltrexone (LDN) blocks endorphins receptors. It is believed that the body will in response increase the production of endorphins . Endorphins are thought to regulate the immune system and the endocrine hormone levels and thus improve symptoms. Low-dose Naltrexone has recently been used off-label to alleviate symptoms of fibromyalgia, cancers, HIV/AIDS, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, and other autoimmune diseases. One study found that patients with fibromyalgia reported improvement in their symptomatic after using low dose naltrexone ( Fibromyalgia symptoms are reduced by low-dose naltrexone: a pilot study. Pain Med. 2009 May-Jun;10(4):663-72.) Similarly, patients who used low dose natrexone experienced improvement of Crohn’s disease symptoms (Low-dose naltrexone therapy improves active Crohn's disease. Am J Gastroenterol. 2007 Apr;102(4):820-8).  Physicians usually prescribe low dose naltrexone ( LDN) starting with a lower dose and gradually increasing to achieve an adequate response, depending on your condition and other medications taken.

We work closely with Glendale and Los Angeles doctors to provide patients with high quality low dose naltrexone (NLD) formulations.
